Valentino

Valentino was formed in 1982 in Sarajevo under the leadership of guitarist and songwriter Zijo Rizvanbegović. The band quickly won over audiences across the former Yugoslavia with hits like “Volim te još,” “Bez tebe,” “Oka tvoja dva,” “Samo sklopi okice,” and “Srce dam.” Early in their career, they often opened for acts such as Bijelo Dugme and Bajaga, while also collaborating with major regional artists like Goran Bregović and Milić Vukašinović.
After a hiatus caused by the war and Zijo’s move to Germany, the band made a comeback in 2001 with the album “Sve su se moje cure udale.” The 2003 compilation “20 pesama 20 hitova” reinforced their musical legacy and reminded fans of the band’s golden era. One of their most notable performances in recent years took place at Belgrade’s Beer Fest in 2009, with live recordings from the concert released on the 2011 album “Samo sklopi okice.”
