Prljavo Kazalište

Prljavo Kazalište was founded in 1977 in the working-class neighborhood of Dubrava, Zagreb, emerging from the band Ciferšlus. With Davorin Bogović’s distinctive voice, they quickly became one of the most influential acts of the Yugoslav new wave movement. Albums like “Prljavo Kazalište,” “Crno-bijeli svijet,” and “Korak do sna” became iconic, featuring songs such as “Sve je lako kad si mlad,” “Mi plešemo,” and “Neki dječaci,” which left a lasting mark on generations.
Today, the band is led by original members Bogović and drummer Tihomir Fileš, joined by guitarist Saša Novak (formerly of Psihomodo Pop) and dynamic bassist Ian Gnand. This refreshed lineup brings renewed energy to the band’s timeless material, delivering powerful, modern versions of classic songs rarely heard live in decades. Prljavo Kazalište remains a true icon of urban rock, staying loyal to its roots while connecting with new generations of fans.
