Originating in Guildford in 1974 the Stranglers played in various pubs during their first two years of existence trying to find a discernible sound for their music. They originated from the first generation of the British punk and is the first punk band to have 23 of their songs included in the UK Top 40 Singles Chart. The Stranglers are best known for a hit song from later period of their career "Golden Brown" which is even today appearing in popular movies and even on TV.
The concert of one of the most influential punk bands of all times is scheduled for the second day of the festival, on Thursday 16 August. The audience will be able to enjoy free of charge in the greatest hits of more than 4 decades long career of this legendary band.
